It is similar to <strong><em>MPG\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>or\u00a0<u><b>M<\/b><\/u>iles\u00a0<u><b>P<\/b><\/u>er\u00a0<b><u>G<\/u><\/b>allon. MPG is easier to relate to since everyone knows what a <em>mile\u00a0<\/em>and a <em>gallon\u00a0<\/em>of gas is\u2026.boy do we know. SEER (like MPG) is a ratio. It may be easier to think of SEER as CPE or <u><b>C<\/b><\/u>ooling <u><b>P<\/b><\/u>er <u><b>E<\/b><\/u>lectricity (like MPG).
